Long live winter!

Winter is here, and with it the eternal dilemma: how to dress to be stylish while staying warm? In Paris, where the thermometer can drop quickly, finding this balance between comfort and style is almost an art of living. Goodbye to the wrapped-up look of the Michelin Man! Here are some tips for mastering layering, investing in the right pieces, and facing the cold without sacrificing your style.

1. Layering, your best ally

The key to staying stylish while battling the cold is layering. Layering lightweight yet insulating pieces can create a look that’s tailored, adaptable, and most importantly, functional. Smart layering often starts with a thin, form-fitting base layer, like a merino wool turtleneck (like our favorite wool and silk base layer, Janice ).

On this base, add a shirt , a cashmere sweater or a wool cardigan to add volume and texture. Finish with a quality coat , ideally in wool or cashmere. The idea is to remain free of your movements while trapping heat: both functional and refined.

2. Focus on natural materials

Natural materials like wool or cashmere are your best allies for winter. Wool is not only an excellent thermal insulator, but it also has the ability to regulate body temperature. Cashmere, on the other hand, is light, soft and incredibly warm – perfect for sweaters or scarves that add a touch of luxury without being "too much". At Juju, we have adopted the Madi sweater, in cashmere and merino wool, in a simple and structured cut that allows us to slip on a base layer ;)

Technical materials are also interesting, but they are often less breathable than natural materials. For a truly Parisian style, these materials bring that little extra effortless chic that makes all the difference.

3. Invest in a good coat

The coat is one of the most important elements of the winter wardrobe. A beautiful, well-cut coat can transform a basic look into a sophisticated outfit. Opt for a timeless model, such as a wool trench coat , a long coat or an elegant down jacket. Belted models are perfect for structuring the silhouette and maintaining a chic look, even in winter fashion. That's good, because our coats made in France are all mainly made of wool, we let you take a look here .

The key is to choose the right color: or a sober version, to play with more daring accessories, like a colorful choker. At Juju, we love color combinations, so we adopt more unique pieces, in colorful prints or uninhibited fuchsia pink . Investing in a quality coat is often more durable and ecological, because it will be able to accompany you for several seasons.

4. Some tips for staying warm without overdoing it

There are a few simple tricks that can help you stay warm without layering up. Wear merino wool socks under your pants to avoid losing heat through your feet. Also, consider scarves and collars (in cashmere and merino wool here), a little-visible but super-effective trick for icy days. The secret to a successful winter style is to find the balance between comfort and style, without visually overloading ;)

With a well-thought-out wardrobe and timeless pieces, you'll be ready to face winter while remaining chic and elegant, even under the grey Parisian skies. So, this year with Juju, say goodbye to compromising between warmth and style!
